NetBackup™ Web UI Administrator's Guide

Configure cloud KMS

Use this procedure to configure cloud KMS server in NetBackup using web UI.

See Add a key in NetBackup to use the cloud KMS server.

To configure cloud KMS server

  1. On the left, click Security > KMS.
  2. Click Configure.
  3. On the Configure key management server dialog box, click the Cloud KMS option.
  4. Specify the following KMS server attributes:
    • Enable for backup - Enable the option to use the keys from this KMS configuration for backup.

    • Name - Enter name of the KMS configuration. For example: Google Cloud KMS

    • Credentials - Select the credentials for the cloud KMS that you have already added.

      See Add a credential for cloud KMS.

    • Priority - A higher value gives the server a higher priority during encryption or decryption.

    • Description - Enter the description of the configuration.

    • Proxy server - Select the credentials of the proxy server that you have already added and that you want to use for this cloud KMS configuration.

  5. Click Configure.
