Prerequisites for ESXi cluster nodes
Following are the prerequisites for the ESXi cluster nodes to be used with Veritas Resiliency Platform for recovery of VMware virtual machines to on-premises data canter:
ESXi cluster nodes should be version 6.0U2 or above.
ESXi cluster nodes must be able to communicate to the vCenter server. The ESXi node needs to contact the vCenter server during the VIB installation.
ESXi cluster nodes should be able to resolve the name and IP address of the vCenter server.
ESXi cluster nodes should be able to resolve the name and IP address of the IMS.
ESXi cluster node should have access to port 443 on the vCenter server.
CIM Server must be running on all the ESXi nodes.
IMS pushes the replication configuration to ESXi hosts using the CIM channel. Make sure that IMS IP address is listed in the list of allowed IP addresses for the CIM service for each of the ESXi nodes.
Time of ESXi cluster nodes and IMS must be synchronized using the same NTP server.
