Recovering the MSDP catalog automatically
You cannot use the automated recovery method in the following scenarios:
If you want to import images from this storage server, for example, if you have recovered the NetBackup catalog (the primary server's catalog) and have not imported the images from this storage server, you must use the manual steps or you will not have any images to import (from this deduplication storage server) after the deduplication catalog recovery process has finished.
If you want to recover from a backup other than the most recent. You must use the manual method so that you can specify the date range that contains the desired backup images.
