Editing a resiliency group in maintenance mode
When a protected resiliency group is placed in maintenance mode you can add or remove data disks from any existing virtual machines. So to add or remove a data disk from the resiliency group, it is recommended to first place the resiliency group in maintenance mode and then edit it. When you have added a new data disk or removed a data disk from the virtual machine, it may happen that the data does not remain consistent on source and target data center. Hence, it is recommended to first place the resiliency group in maintenance mode, perform the required disk configuration changes for the virtual machine in the data center, edit the resiliency group and then exit the maintenance mode.

Editing the resiliency group when placed in maintenance mode should display panel. You need to know the following points for resiliency group in maintenance mode:
The maintenance mode edit launches the wizard only if the risk of data disk which is added or removed is raised on the resiliency group. If there is no risk on the resiliency group, you cannot perform edit operation. This risk may at least take 5 minutes to appear on the resiliency group.
If the CDP is enabled for that resiliency group, you cannot change the CDP storage which are listed in the Replication Gateway pair.
Selecting the storage policy option is seen only for the newly added data disk.
Inputs are taken only for the disks which are newly added during the configuration drift edit operation.
The panel displays details of the modified assets. If you add a new virtual machine to the resiliency group, the panel displays details in the added assets table
If in case, while editing the resiliency group which is placed in maintenance mode fails, you cannot exit the maintenance mode as it is disabled. You need to again edit the resiliency group.
Note:
If in a resiliency group, you have not added or removed any data disk and you have placed the resiliency group in maintenance mode, you cannot perform edit operation on that resiliency group.
