Target Infrastructure Selection options
This panel is displayed only if the replication technology is Resiliency Platform Data Mover or NetApp SnapMirror .
Note the following changes on the console when you upgrade to 3.2 or later.
The panel Target Asset Selection is called Target Infrastructure Selection.
Select target Cluster is called Select Target ESXi Cluster.
The column heading Host has changed to ESXi Host.
If the grid has only one cluster, it is selected by default.
Table: Selection options
Select the target ESXi cluster. | Each resiliency group consisting of virtual machines must map to only one ESXi cluster. For resiliency group consisting of physical machines, each group can map to either an EXSi cluster or to an ESXi server. The wizard validates which cluster or server on the target data center can meet the required number of virtual machines and disks. |
Review the ESXi hosts within the cluster. | Once you select a cluster, the associated ESXi hosts are displayed, and below them the datastores that are accessible from the ESXi hosts. |
Select the datastore or the datastore cluster Note: More than one datastore can be selected only if the replication technology is Resiliency Platform Data Mover with VMware VAIO. |
Storage that can be provisioned must be available in the selected datastore in order for the wizard to create the replicated disks on the target data center. Review the total disk size and compare this to the value in the Free (GB) column for the selected datastore. Expand the datastore cluster to view its members. |
