About jobs in the Activity Monitor that use Replication Director for virtual machines
You can use the NetBackup Activity Monitor to keep track of virtual machines backups as they occur. The number of jobs that appear in the Activity Monitor depends on the policy's option.
Note:
The option is enabled by default. In most cases, Veritas recommends that you keep this option enabled. If this option is disabled, data in the virtual machine may not be in a consistent state when the snapshot occurs.

Example 1: Virtual machine jobs with the option enabled.

Jobs 100, 101, and 102 made VMware snapshots of the virtual machines waukvm13, 14, and 15.
Jobs 103, 104, and 105 made snapshots of datastores wauk_c1, c2, and c3.
Example 2: Virtual machine jobs with the option disabled.
The jobs occurred as follows:
The discovery (parent) Backup job for virtual machine discovery is ID 106.
Job 107 collected the virtual machines' configuration data.
