DISABLE_STANDALONE_DRIVE_EXTENSIONS option for NetBackup servers

This option disables the nonrobotic drive operations. During a backup, NetBackup automatically attempts to use standalone volumes in nonrobotic drives.

On NetBackup master servers.

How to use

Use the nbemmcmd command to change the option. For example:

nbemmcmd -changesetting -DISABLE_STANDALONE_DRIVE_EXTENSIONS no

This option should appear only once in the configuration file.

Example

The following command enables nonrobotic drive operations.

nbemmcmd -changesetting -DISABLE_STANDALONE_DRIVE_EXTENSIONS no

Equivalent Administration Console property

NetBackup Management > Host Properties > Master Servers > Double-click on server > Media > Enable standalone drive extension. The default is that this option is enabled.
