NetBackup logs for Accelerator with virtual machines

Accelerator does not require its own log directory. For log messages about Accelerator, see the following standard NetBackup log directories.

Table: NetBackup logs that may contain Accelerator information

Log directory

Resides on

UNIX: /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpbrm

Windows: install_path\NetBackup\logs\bpbrm

NetBackup master or media server

UNIX: /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bptm

Windows: install_path\NetBackup\logs\bptm

NetBackup media server

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpbkar

Windows: install_path\NetBackup\logs\bpbkar

Backup host

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpfis

Windows: install_path\NetBackup\logs\bpfis

To create the log directories, run the following command on the NetBackup servers and backup host:

On Windows:

install_path\NetBackup\logs\mklogdir.bat

On UNIX/Linux:

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/mklogdir
