NDMP Global Credentials properties
The credentials that are entered for can apply to any NDMP host in the configuration. However, the option must be selected in the Add NDMP Host dialog box for the NDMP host.
The NDMP Global Credentials properties dialog box contains the following properties.

To access the Add NDMP Host dialog box, add an NDMP host under Media and Device Management > Credentials > NDMP Hosts.
Figure: Add NDMP Host dialog box shows the Add NDMP Host dialog box. In the Credentials section, select so that the NDMP Global Credentials apply to that host.
Note:
Be careful when you add an NDMP host. If you add NDMP host credentials using the fully qualified domain name (FQDN), you must also indicate the fully qualified domain name on the client for lookups. That is, the server list in the Backup, Archive, and Restore administration console must list the NDMP host by the FQDN as well.
If you add NDMP host credentials using its short name, you can use either the short name or the FQDN in the client server list.
