Replication operation in an SLP

Use the Replication operation for the following types of replication:

NetBackup Replication Director to replicate a snapshot, as shown in Figure: Replication operation following a Snapshot operation.

NetBackup Auto Image Replication to replicate a backup, as shown in Figure: Replication operation following a Backup operation.

Characteristic	Description
Storage unit selection	Under Destination storage attributes: For Replication Director, select the Storage that is configured to contain replicated snapshots. For Auto Image Replication, choose to either: Replicate the backup to storage servers in all target NetBackup domains. Replicate the backup to a specific master server in a specific domain. This type of Auto Image Replication is known as Targeted A.I.R.
Child of	Click on the appropriate operation when adding a Replication operation. A Replication operation can be the child of any of the following operations: Snapshot operation for NetBackup Replication Director to replicate a snapshot. Another Replication operation. Backup operation for NetBackup Auto Image Replication. See Creating a storage lifecycle policy.

Job type	A Replication operation generates a Replication job in the Activity Monitor.
