Disabling debug logging

The Disable Debug Logging Wizard disables the NetBackup debug logging that the Setup Debug Logging Wizard enabled. A disabled debug log cannot generate any logging messages.

To disable debug logging

  1. In the NetBackup Administration Console, in the left pane, select the Logging Assistant node.
  2. The right pane of the NetBackup Administration Console displays the list of Logging Assistant records. Select the record whose debug logging you want to disable.
  3. In the Actions menu, select Disable Debug Logs. The Welcome panel for the Reset Logging Wizard appears.

    Click Next to continue.

  4. The Selected Hosts and Processes panel appears. Use this panel to confirm the host problem categories and processes for all debug logs that were enabled. The hosts can be the master server, one or more media servers, and one or more clients.

    Click Next to continue.

  5. The Disable Debug Logging Results panel displays the results of the disable operation. The upper window shows the hosts and processes whose debug logs are successfully disabled.

The lower window shows the results of the unsuccessful debug disable attempts. Logs that other Logging Assistant records use cannot be disabled, and are listed as unsuccessful in the lower window.

Click Finish to complete the Disable Logging Wizard.
