NetBackup™ Web UI Administrator's Guide

De-elevate roles

After performing the required operation, you can expire role elevation.

To de-elevate a role

  1. Click Profiles > Profile settings.
  2. On the User profile settings page, click the Role elevation tab.

Click De-elevate role to expire role elevation. All the elevated user login sessions will be terminated. All existing roles will be de-elevated.

  3. Operations that are associated with this role cannot be performed after the role elevation expires.
  4. Sign into the web UI again to go back to the base role.

You cannot request another role elevation if an active elevation is in progress. You must first de-elevate before requesting a new role elevation.

The User sessions tab displays the information of all active sessions along with associated base roles and elevated roles.
