NetBackup™ for Microsoft SQL Server Administrator's Guide

Deactivate or activate an instance

You can make an instance inactive in NetBackup so it is excluded from a backup. For example, if the instance is under maintenance.

To deactivate an instance

  1. Select the Instances tab.
  2. Select the instance that you want to deactivate.
  3. Select Deactivate.

To activate an instance

  1. Select the Instances tab.
  2. Select the instance that you want to activate.
  3. Select Activate.
