Enabling security settings

Changes to the security settings include the following:

  • Disabling earlier versions of NetBackup 8.0 support for insecure connections.

    For more information on enabling this, refer to the 'How NetBackup 8.1 hosts communicate with NetBackup 8.0 and earlier hosts' section of NetBackup Read This First Guide for Secure Communications.

  • Setting the data-in-transit encryption to Preferred On, which can be changed as listed in 'Configure the global data-in-transit encryption setting' section of NetBackup Security and Encryption Guide.
