Configuration guidelines for IBM Storage Ceph

Refer to IBM Storage Ceph documentation for details of any of these points.

  • You must enable bucket logging on the source buckets with the required configuration. See Enable bucket logging for source buckets.

  • You must create the log bucket before enabling bucket logging in the Ceph console.

  • Create a policy for the log bucket so that the log bucket can be accessible to the source bucket logging. You must create the log bucket policy before enabling bucket logging, otherwise the operations on source buckets fail. See Configuring access policy on the log bucket.

  • Both the source and log buckets must be accessible using the same credentials defined in the Cloud object store account in NetBackup.

  • Do not use the log bucket as source bucket in bucket logging.

  • All source buckets must have a unique prefix. The prefix cannot be empty.

  • Log object key format must be Date partition. The PartitionDateSource must be configured as EventTime.

  • To delete the older log objects, create a bucket policy. See Maintaining the log bucket.
