NetBackup™ Deduplication Guide

Managing the Veritas provisioning file system (VPFS) mounts

The Veritas provisioning file system (VPFS) is a service for Instant Access and Universal Shares. Use the following procedures to manage the VPFS mounts.

To view the status of the VPFS mounts

  1. Open an SSH session to the server.
  2. Run the following command:

    dedupe vpfs status

To stop or start the VPFS mounts

  1. Open an SSH session to the server.
  2. Run one of the following commands:

    dedupe VPFS stop

    dedupe VPFS start
