VMware policy: bpplinfo options and keywords

Table: bpplinfo options describes the options that are available on the bpplinfo command. These options are set to default values if not specified.

If more than one, separate each with a colon. Order of modes indicates priority. Example:

This example selects these two modes and tries nbd first.

vmdk_ca=

The name of the VMware custom attribute that specifies the disk(s) to exclude from backups. For example, vmdk_ca=NB_DISK_EXCLUDE_LIST.

Set the value for the custom attribute on each virtual machine or managed host, as appropriate.

The custom attribute must have comma separated values of device controls for the disks to be excluded. For example: scsi0-0,ide0-0,sata0-0.

vmdk_list=

Colon separated values of device controllers for the disks to be excluded. For example: scsi0-0:ide0-0:sata0-0.
