Users that have protection permissions can view or perform operations on NetBackup supported policies with the web UI and APIs. Storage lifecycle policies (SLP) are managed with the following permissions:

Note:
It is recommended that only users with the role manage policies. A user may not have sufficient permissions to perform all policy management operations unless the user is a member of the role.

These permissions allow a user to view and customize how storage lifecycle policies are maintained and how SLP jobs run.
