When you submit a secure quorum change, the system creates a request in Pending Approval state.

The request must be reviewed by another Security Admin.

A request can be approved, rejected, cancelled, or expired.

Changes are applied only after approval.

A team must have at least two Security Admin users when secure quorum is enabled.

A team can have a maximum of five Security Admin users.

Any operation that violates these limits may be blocked.

A team needs at least the Number of Approvals + 1 members to use Access Key Generation, because a requestor cannot approve their own request. For example, if the Number of Approvals is 2, the team needs at least 3 members.

The requestor cannot approve their own request.

For Update Secure Quorum Configuration, only one other Security Admin for the team needs to approve or reject the request.

For Access Key Generation, the Number of Approvals setting decides how many different Security Admins must approve the request. The request stays in Pending Approval until the selected number of admins approve it.

The Secure Quorum Dashboard displays the approval progress in the format received/required. For example, 1/2 indicates that one of the two required approvals is received.

The Approvers list, excluding the requestor, must include at least as many eligible approvers as the value specified in the Number of Approvals field. Otherwise, the system displays the following error message and prevents you from saving the configuration:

"Not enough approvers for every selected requestor. A requestor cannot approve their own request."
