Support for NIC teaming / bonding for physical machines
The Network Interface (NIC) teaming / bonding logically combines two or more NICs into a single NIC and is implemented for better performance and fault tolerance. The NIC teaming / bonding is supported for all the Linux and Microsoft Windows supported in Resiliency Platform. This feature is supported only for physical machines along with IPv4 addresses only. For Linux physical machines, both bonding and teaming are supported.
When creating a resiliency group with physical machines, only the team/bond interfaces or interfaces that are not part of any team/bond configuration are considered for creating virtual machines or cloud instances on target data center. When you migrate back to the source data center, the same interface settings are restored along with any teaming/bonding configuration. If there is a single NIC which is not added in the teaming configuration, while creating a resiliency group, you can see the single NIC and the bonded NIC.
Note:
NIC teaming / bonding is no supported for physical machines to vCloud Director use case.
