AWS Customization options panel
This wizard panel is displayed when you are configuring the assets for remote recovery in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The following table summarizes the information that you must supply or verify in the wizard to complete the customization.

Enable Instance Status Checks | Checked: Enable the software and network configuration status check for the instance. Unchecked: The status check is done after the operation is complete. |
Use same Security Groups for Rehearsal as in Production | Checked: You can choose security group(s) for production environment which is also used for rehearsal operations as well. Unchecked: You will have to explicitly select the security group for Production and Rehearsal operations. |
Instance Type | Select the instance type and security groups for production and rehearsal. Select the instance type from the drop down. You can choose the instance type which support ENA or non - ENA types from the drop down. The ENA instance types are suffixed with (ENA). About Elastic Networking Adapter (ENA) support in Resiliency Platform UEFI boot mode support If you have a virtual machine with UEFI boot mode in the resiliency group, you need to select the Instance type with <instance type_name (ENA) (UEFI)> tags. |
Enforce IMDSv2 | The 'Enforce IMDSv2' checkbox is enabled by default. From version 4.0 of Resiliency Platform, while configuring resiliency group for disaster recovery, the wizard has an option to specify metadata access using option per virtual machine. If this option is true, the virtual machine when migrated to AWS, should use only IMDSv2 mechanism. See Support for Instance Metadata Service v2 in Resiliency Platform. After selecting the instance type, Enforce IMDSv2 checkbox, and the security group you can choose to apply the selection to each virtual machine or to all. |
Set VM Userdata on target side | Userdata: When you launch an instance in Amazon / Azure, you have the option of passing user data to the instance that can be used to perform common automated configuration tasks and even run scripts after the instance starts. This checkbox is available only to those virtual machines which has userdata which can be copied to target side. If checked: Source virtual machine's userdata will be copied to target side virtual machine. If unchecked: Resiliency Platform sets the network customization related userdata to target side virtual machine. You can check/uncheck this option individually for each virtual machine. You can also check/uncheck it and then click apply to all . |
Security Groups | You can choose multiple security groups for a virtual machine. Ensure that the security group is in the same VPC as the subnet that is selected during network mapping. |
Rehearsal Security Groups | You can select from the rehearsal security groups drop down only when Use same Security Groups for Rehearsal as in Production checkbox is unchecked. |
Change virtual machine name (Edit icon) | Change the default target virtual machine name. You can change the name of the target virtual machine which is the name of the virtual machine when it is migrated or rehearsed. |
Network Details | Displays the source and the target network mapping details that are applicable for the selected resiliency groups. If network mapping is not done, then the page is empty. |
Note:
When you have configured the virtual machines for recovery to AWS environment for disaster recovery of Linux workloads using NetBackup Automated disaster recovery and , if you have selected instance type which supports ENA as customization target, you need to install the ENA drivers manually.
