Applying updates to the hosts
Updates for the add-ons and for the host packages installed on the assets that are added as a host, becomes available under the Managed Hosts section in the Resiliency Platform console. These components can be upgraded from the console.
In case of application disaster recovery, after the upgrade of application hosts you must edit the configuration of application and re-enter the password for the discovery of hosts to succeed. This is applicable only for MSSQL application hosts, as these hosts store the password.
From version 3.5, there were changes in the Program data folder and removal of Symantec folder from the Microsoft Windows registry. You need to upgrade your MH to reflect these changes.
To apply updates to the hosts
- Navigate
Settings (menu bar) > Updates
- Under Available updates, go to Managed Hosts section. Select the hosts on which you want to apply the update, and click Upgrade.
In the list of hosts, some of the hosts may be listed for both the production as well as recovery data centers. You need to apply the update only on a host which is listed under production data center.
Note:
If a host is configured for recovery to cloud data center, you need to restart the host after applying the update.
