Configuring generic backup data collection
The following tasks must be performed as part of the Generic Backup Data Collection setup:
In the IT Analytics Portal, create a host of type: Generic Backup Server. This is the server that is managing the backups of the clients for which you will be importing backup data.
In the IT Analytics Portal, add a Data Collector Policy of Product Type: Generic Backup. In this policy, supply the path to the CSV file.
Create a comma-separated file of the backup/restore data--typically, a file that has been exported using the backup software utilities.
