NetBackup Audit Report
In NetBackup, the audit report provides extensive audit details of Policies, Jobs, storage unit changes and so on.
The reports module in IT Analytics is enhanced with a new report NetBackup Audit report to fetch these audit details.
This report is located here: Reports > Backup Manager > Administration Reports > NetBackup Audit Report
Note:
This report is available only to System Administrator users.
IT Analytics supports NetBackup version 8.1.2 and above.
Audit feature should be enabled on NetBackup.
IT Analytics uses SSH/WMI Based collection method for the report.
Configure Audit Events under Veritas NetBackup Data Collector policy screen.

Using the scope selector, a system administrator user can define the scope of the report.
The following are the parameters available for the reports.

Column name | Description |
|---|---|
Server Name | The NetBackup Server name that has been updated or modified. |
Event Category | Event category of the logged event. Some of the examples are - LOGIN, LICENSING, and POLICY. |
Description | A summary of the type of event that occurred. |
User | Username of the user who performed the audited action. |
Action | The type of action taken by the user that generated the event. Some of the actions are - ACCESS, MODIFY, CREATE, and DELETE. |
Date | Timestamp of event logged. |
Reason | The reason for the generated event. |
Changed Attributes | The number of changed attributes for the generated event. It redirects to "NetBackup Audit Details" report for providing more details about Changed Attributes. |
