Alert Reports
IT Analytics has identified many common trouble spots and built a set of pre-defined alerting rules to examine conditions within your enterprise. Rules are the first step in adding and editing Alert policies.
The Alert Policy defines the scope of what you'd like to monitor, such as a specific product or job types, the frequency of the symptom and alerting thresholds.
These rules are monitored in real-time as the data is collected or on a scheduled basis if the condition is time-based. After a Policy is created, you can choose to alert on the conditions you've specified or use reports to review the results on-demand and drill down to specifics. Because alerts can be suppressed for a variety of reasons, use reports to review the results of your monitoring criteria whenever required.
Alert Delivery Failure - The Alert Delivery Failure lists details for each alert delivery failure by Alert Policy.
Alert Detail - The Alert Detail allows you to view objects with alerts triggered by thresholds set in your Alert Policies. You can also use the report to suppress/unsuppress individual alerts. When running the report, you have the option to see all alerts or to filter them based on if they are suppressed or not.
Alert Detail History - The Alert Detail History provides a summary of alerts based on definitions in the Alert Policies for a selected time period. This report includes the most recent alerts and past alerts. This comprehensive view by Alert Policy can be filtered by object types and Alert Rules.
Alert Summary - The Alert Summary is an aggregated view of current alerts based on Alert Policy definitions. Filter this donut chart by object types and rules.
Alert Summary History - The Alert Summary History is presented as a donut chart that displays all alerts by Alert Policy and your selected time period. Report can be filtered by object types and Alert Rules.
Alert Trend - The Alert Trend is presented as a bar chart that displays all alerts by alert type (warning and critical) for a selected time period. If required, filter the report by object type and Alert Rules.
