Task 1: Portal and database deployment strategies (Linux)
If these components are to be installed on the same server, then Task 2 and Task 3 must be performed on the same machine.
Note:
NetBackup IT Analytics recommends that the Portal and Database components be installed on the same server.
Installing Oracle and Portal Binaries on the Same Server
For the typical Portal installation, the installation process consists of these main tasks:
Verify that you have the latest binaries for the version you are installing.
Install Oracle application binaries.
Install the NetBackup IT Analytics Portal software components.
Create the NetBackup IT Analytics Database and load the schema objects.
