Prerequisites for adding Data Collectors (Amazon Web services)
64-bit OS. See the Certified Configurations Guide for supported operating systems.
When the NetBackup IT Analytics system collects data from any vendor subsystem, the collection process expects name/value pairs to be in US English, and requires the installation to be done by an Administrator with a US English locale. The server's language version can be non-US English.
Supports Amazon Corretto 17. Amazon Corretto is a no-cost, multi-platform, production-ready distribution of the Open Java Development Kit (OpenJDK).
For performance reasons, do not install Data Collectors on the same server as the NetBackup IT Analytics Portal. However, if you must have both on the same server, verify that the Portal and Data Collector software do not reside in the same directory.
Install only one Data Collector on a server (or OS instance).
Amazon cloud computing resources are hosted in multiple locations world-wide. These locations are composed of AWS Regions. NetBackup IT Analytics enables you to configure the default region using the advance parameter.
Advance parameter: AWS_DEFAULT_REGION
Value: Veritas suggests determining the region from the following document and specify appropriate region from the Region column of the Region availability table.
Note:
If no value is specified NetBackup IT Analytics considers us-west-2 as the default value.
