Cleaning up instances
This option lets you configure NetBackup to automatically clear orphaned instances from the Applications utility. Orphaned instances are the instances that were discovered at one time but were never registered.
To enable instance cleanup
- Expand NetBackup Management > Applications > Microsoft SQL Server.
- Select the Instances node.
- Select Actions > Instance cleanup.
- Select Clean up after.
- Select how often (days) that you want NetBackup to perform instance cleanup.
- Click OK.
