Retiring an OpenStorage data mover

Use the following process to retire an OpenStorage data mover.

Table: Process to retire an OpenStorage data mover

What

Where

For every NetBackup storage unit that specifies that data mover (that is, media server), clear the checkbox that specifies the media server.

This step is not required if the storage unit is configured to use any available media server.

See the NetBackup Installation Guide for UNIX and Windows.

On the media server to be retired, delete the credentials for the storage server.

See Deleting the OpenStorage server credentials of a data mover.
