Controlling media
Use the following procedure to freeze, unfreeze, suspend, or unsuspend specific media. Note that to perform these tasks the media must be assigned to NetBackup. The media is assigned if there is a date in the Time Assigned column.
Note:
These tasks are not visible if you log on with an Analyst or a Reporter role.
To perform media tasks
- In the OpsCenter console, select Monitor > Media.
- Select Hierarchical View by Volume Pool from the drop-down list. The drop-down list is located at the top-right corner of the page.
- Expand a volume pool from the Media ID column. This view shows the media that are a part of the volume pool. Note that the media are indented to the right-hand side
- Select a media ID (use the check box).
- Click Freeze, Unfreeze, Suspend, or Unsuspend. Note that these tasks are present on top of the table.
The OpsCenter console may take some time to show the updated status once you perform these tasks.
