Requirements before gathering data for multiple master servers in capacity licensing

Before you run nbdeployutil in an environment that has multiple master servers, complete the following configuration using the NetBackup Administration Console. These steps only need to be completed one time.

  • Create a trust relationship between the master servers.

    See the NetBackup Administrator's Guide, Volume I

  • For each remote master server in the environment, add the master server where you plan to run nbdeployutil to the Additional Servers list (in Host Properties).

    • Open Host Properties > Master Servers.

    • Right-click on the remote master server and click Properties.

    • Select Servers.

    • On the Additional Servers tab, add the master server.
