Veritas NetBackup™ Clustered Master Server Administrator's Guide

Configuring add-ons for monitoring (UNIX/Linux clusters)

By default, add-on products (such as NetBackup Vault) do not cause NetBackup to failover if they fail. These products can be configured to failover NetBackup if an add-on product fails.

To enable monitoring for the optional services

  • Run the following command:
    /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpclusterutil
    -enableSvc"ServiceName"

To disable monitoring for the optional services

  • Run the following command:
    /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpclusterutil
    -disbleSvc"ServiceName"

Monitoring can be turned on or off for only NetBackup Vault Service and NetBackup Key Management Service. The ServiceName parameters for these services are nbvaultand nbkms.
