Configuring dynamic data streaming with backup host pool
Backup host pool is a group of master, media, or client servers that can be used for taking backups. Although NetBackupclient is not listed in the available backup hosts but it can be added explicitly to the list. The dynamic data streaming feature with backup host pool is supported for Linux and Windows master and media server only.
Note:
Ensure that all hosts in a backup host pool must have same the OS, OS path level, and default NFS version configuration.
The following diagram illustrates the high-level steps to configure dynamic data streaming:
Table: Configuration steps and description
Step | Description | Reference |
|---|---|---|
1 | Register the CloudPoint server and the NAS vendor plug-in with NetBackup. The solution uses the Integrated Snapshot Management framework. | |
2 | Add the backup hosts to a backup host pool. The backup hosts are responsible for data streaming. | |
