About Solaris robotic controls

NetBackup supports SCSI control and API control of robotic devices. A robotic device in a library moves the media between the storage slots and the drives in the library.

Robotic control varies, as follows:

  • SCSI or Fibre Channel Protocol control.

  • API control over a LAN.
