Understand malware scanning in NetBackup
NetBackup integrates with 3rd party antivirus and antimalware software to scan backup data. This scanning process can be performed at various stages of backup, post backup and during restore (when data is being retrieved). Malware scanning can be configured to either occur automatically on anomaly detection or as part of manual workflows, depending on your system and policy requirements.
