Rescanning and updating barcodes
Use the following procedure to rescan the media in a robot and to update NetBackup with the barcodes.
Note:
Rescan and update barcodes does not apply to volumes in API robot types.

To rescan barcodes and update the EMM database
- In the NetBackup Administration Console, in the left pane, expand Media and Device Management > Media > Robots.
- Select the robotic library that contains the volumes that you want to scan and update.
- In the right pane, in the Volumes list, select the volumes.
- On the Actions menu, select Rescan/Update Barcodes.
- Click Start.
The results of the update appear in the output section of the dialog box.
