TRUSTED_MASTER option for NetBackup servers

The TRUSTED_MASTER option lets administrators indicate a specific storage lifecycle policy in a target master server domain to configure Auto Image Replication. The ability to replicate to a specific target domain SLP is supported between MSDP storage servers and PDDO storage servers.

On NetBackup master servers or media servers.

How to use

Use the nbgetconfig and the nbsetconfig commands to view, add, or change the option.

For information about these commands, see the NetBackup Commands Reference Guide.

Add TRUSTED_MASTER on the master server in the source domain and the master server in the target domain.

Example

On the source domain master server, enter the name of the target master server:

TRUSTED_MASTER = Target_Server_Name

On the target domain master server, enter the name of the source master server:

TRUSTED_MASTER = Source_Server_Name

NetBackup Management > Host Properties > Master Servers > Double-click on server > Servers > Inter-domain Master Servers tab.
