About the Unload Database menu options

The Unload Database menu options let you unload either the schema or the schema and data from the relational database.

A SQL command file is created that can be used to rebuild the database. If the data is also included in the unload, a set of data files in comma-delimited format is created.

The Unload Database menu contains the following options.

Table: Unload Database menu options

Description

Schema Only

This option lets you unload only the database schema. The schema is unloaded as a file that is named reload.sql in the named directory.

Data and Schema

This option lets you unload both the database schema and the data. The data is unloaded as a set of files. One file is created for each database table.

Change Directory option for unloading the database

This option lets you change the directory location for the files that unload options (1) or (2) create.
