Enabling automatic path correction

You can enable automatic device path correction in NetBackup. To do so, use the following procedure.

To configure automatic path correction

  1. Use a text editor to open the following file:

    On Windows:

    install_path\Veritas\Volmgr\vm.conf

    On UNIX:

    /usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf

  2. Add the following AUTO_PATH_CORRECTION entry to the file:

    AUTO_PATH_CORRECTION = YES

    If it already exists but is set to NO, change the value to YES.

  3. Save the file and exit the text editor.
