RESTORE_RETRIES option for NetBackup clients

The RESTORE_RETRIES entry specifies the number of times to retry a restore after a failure.

How to use

Use the nbgetconfig and the nbsetconfig commands to view, add, or change the option.

For information about these commands, see the NetBackup Commands Reference Guide.

Use the following format:

RESTORE_RETRIES = number_of_retries

The default is 0 (no retries).

This option should appear only once in the configuration file.

Note:

The RESTORE_RETRIES entry has a reasonable default. Change it only if problems are encountered.

Equivalent Administration Console property

NetBackup Management > Host Properties > Double-click on client > Universal Settings > Restore retries.
