VERBOSE option for NetBackup servers and clients

Used for debugging purposes, the VERBOSE option controls the amount of information NetBackup includes in its legacy logs.

Where to use

On NetBackup master servers or clients.

How to use

Use the nbgetconfig and the nbsetconfig commands to view, add, or change the option.

For information about these commands, see the NetBackup Commands Reference Guide.

Use the following format:

VERBOSE = [ 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 ]

By default, this option is disabled.

This option should appear only once in the configuration file.

Equivalent Administration Console property

NetBackup Management > Host Properties > Master Servers > Double-click on server > Logging > Global logging level.
