REVERSE_NAME_LOOKUP option for NetBackup servers and clients

This option lets administrators allow, restrict, or prohibit reverse host name lookup.

Description

Where to use

On NetBackup servers or clients.

How to use

Use the nbgetconfig and the nbsetconfig commands to view, add, or change the option.

For information about these commands, see the NetBackup Commands Reference Guide.

Use the following format:

REVERSE_NAME_LOOKUP = ALLOWED | RESTRICTED | PROHIBITED

This entry should appear only once in the configuration file.

Equivalent Administration Console property

NetBackup Management > Host Properties > Master Servers or Clients > Double-click on server > Network Settings > Reverse Host Name Lookup.
