Installing NetBackup for Oracle
Before you can create an Oracle Intelligent Policy, you need to install NetBackup for Oracle and use the instance management facility.
To install NetBackup for Oracle
- Verify that the NetBackup for Oracle agent is supported on your operating system and platform.
See Verifying the operating system and platform compatibility.
- Make sure that you meet the server requirements and client requirements of NetBackup for Oracle.
- Install NetBackup if it is not already on your system.
Note:
The Oracle database agent is installed as part of the NetBackup client installation.
