Veritas NetBackup™ Commands Reference Guide

Name

nbimageshare — use this command to import the VM images and recover the VMs from one NetBackup domain to the Amazon Web Service.

SYNOPSIS

nbimageshare -login username password

nbimageshare -listimage

nbimageshare -singleimport client_name policy_name backupID

nbimageshare -batchimport image_list_file_path

nbimageshare -recovervm client_name policy_name backupID

 

On UNIX systems, the directory path to this command is /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/

This command is not available on Windows systems.

DESCRIPTION

The nbimageshare command is part of the automated disaster recovery solution that lets you import and restore backups images and turn on the VM images instantly.

OPTIONS

-batchimport image_list_file_path

Import information about more than one backup images to NetBackup. The maximum number that is allowed is 64.

-listimage

List the images from the Amazon Web Service (AWS) S3 bucket.

-login user_name password

Enter the NetBackup logon credentials.

-recovervm client_name policy_name backupID

Recover the virtual machine to an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) in AWS.

-singleimport client_name policy_name backupID

Import a single backup image information to NetBackup.
