Veritas NetBackup™ Commands Reference Guide

Name

csconfig reinitialize — reinitializes the CloudStore service container components in the NetBackup Web Management Console (nbwmc) web service.

SYNOPSIS

csconfig reinitialize

On UNIX systems, the directory path to this command is /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/

On Windows systems, the directory path to this command is install_path\NetBackup\bin\admincmd\

DESCRIPTION

The csconfig reinitialize command lets you reinitialize the CloudStore Service container components in the nbwmc web service. When you use this option, the nbwmc service reloads the configuration settings from the Cloudstore.conf, CloudProvider.xml, and CloudInstance.xml files. You can run this command locally on the NetBackup master or media server or remotely by connecting to the server using SSH.

For changes to the cloud configuration settings to take effect, you must restart either the NetBackup CloudStore Service Container (nbcssc) or the NetBackup Web Management Console (nbwmc) service. This requirement depends on the version of NetBackup. A service restart might fail if there are any configuration errors. One example of a configuration error is theCloudProvider.xml file is invalid. Failure to restart a service can lead to a stoppage in the NetBackup operations.

This command option is provided to avoid a service restart. When you make updates to the cloud configuration settings, run this command for the nbwmc service to load the updated configuration. A restart of the nbwmc service is unnecessary.
