OpsCenter Agent and deduplication functionality removed from OpsCenter after the NetBackup 9.0

The OpsCenter Agent can collect data from certain backup products such as Backup Exec, PureDisk, and EMC Legato.

However, OpsCenter no longer supports these backup products. Therefore, the OpsCenter Agent functionality will be removed from OpsCenter after the NetBackup 9.0 release. As OpsCenter no longer supports collecting data from PureDisk, the deduplication functionality will also be removed from OpsCenter after the NetBackup 9.0 release.

As a result of this end of support, the following options, tabs, and reports will not be visible in OpsCenter after 9.0.

  • The Settings > Configuration > Agent tab in the OpsCenter user interface

  • The Monitor > Appliance Hardware > Deduplication tab in the OpsCenter user interface

  • Deduplication reports in the OpsCenter user interface

Ensure that you have saved the required data before you upgrade OpsCenter after 9.0.
