MSDP network interface properties

The following table describes the network interface properties for a Media Server Deduplication Pool storage server.

Caution:

You cannot change the network interface after NetBackup configures the deduplication storage server. Therefore, enter the properties carefully.

Property

Description

Use specific network interface

Select this option to specify a network interface for the deduplication traffic. If you do not specify a network interface, NetBackup uses the operating system host name value.

Interface

If you selected Use specific network interface, enter the interface name.
