Veritas NetBackup™ Deduplication Guide

Disk pool creation problem due to timeout issue

For disk pool failures while creating a disk pool for a Cloud Catalyst storage server, search for an error message that is similar to the following:

Test upload failed, done 5 error code 0, tried 300 times

The log is located in /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/esfs_filesystem.

If the error shows that 300 attempts were made, the failure was due to a timeout issue. A slow network connection to the cloud is often the cause. Check network connections before contacting Veritas Support.
