Veritas NetBackup™ Administrator's Guide, Volume I

Resource Limit properties

The Resource Limit properties in the NetBackup Administration Console control the number of simultaneous backups that can be performed on a VMware or Hyper-V resource type. These settings apply to all policies for the currently selected master server.

For example, a VMware Resource Limit of four for Datastore means that NetBackup policies can perform no more than four simultaneous backups on any particular datastore.

Note:

The Resource Limit properties apply only to policies that use automatic selection of virtual machines (the policy's Query Builder). If you select virtual machines manually on the Browse for Virtual Machines dialog box, the Resource Limit properties have no effect.

The Resource Limit dialog box contains the following properties, depending on which application is selected.

For more information about the specific resource types, click Help.
