Files that are excluded by Microsoft Windows Backup
Windows maintains a list of files and folders that are excluded when Microsoft Windows Backup is used to back up files. This list is known as the list. NetBackup excludes those files and directories from automatic backups even if they are not in the NetBackup exclude list for the client. Those items also are excluded from user-directed backups (unlike items in a NetBackup exclude list, which can be backed up by a user-directed operation).
Windows also maintains a list of registry keys that are not to be restored. NetBackup does not restore the registry keys that are listed in the list.
